Landrelief.org is a non-profit organization that was able to partner with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians to improve pollinator habitats on their ancestral lands. Our current main project is to restore and improve habitat for monarch butterflies and other pollinators by planting pollinator hedgerows and seedings at three sites on Tribal lands in California. Creating pollinator habitat on ancestral land provides a unique opportunity to improve native habitat, enhancing natural pollinator corridors which support the urgent migratory resource needs of the monarch butterfly, and the nectar and habitat needs of other native pollinators.
Sustainably creating, maintaining, and improving pollinator habitat in Southern California. With a focus on closing gaps in the Western Monarch Butterfly's Migratory Corridor.
